Emergency ministry develops mobile rescue app

Russian Emergency Ministry has completed developing its official mobile application. Dubbed 'Mobile Rescue', the app lets users call the police or other emergency service and notify their family by a push of a single button. Mobile Rescue is available in Google play and AppStore.

The app's main page features a single red 'button', by pushing which subscribes can automatically send a SOS message to emergency services and whichever contacts they want to reach (they will have to add contact numbers to the application's list).

The emergency signal can be sent from anywhere in Russia - Mobile Rescue can identify the user's geographical position, and local emergency personnel are then sent to help.
